Sheila Smith - Artist's Statement

I don't like to be tied down to one style of painting so I treat each subject in the way that it appeals to me. My paintings can, therefore, range from realistic studies to abstracted images. One thing is for sure, my paintings are always bright and cheerful, carefully balancing shape and colour to achieve the desired effect.
 

My work has been exhibited and sold in a number of leading galleries in the North East of England including the Artworks, The Biscuit Factory and Art Evolution. I have sold work in exhibitions as far afield as France and Italy. I am also exhibiting at 'Number Eight' Manvers Street in Bath, so, if you're in the vicinity go and have a nice meal and view some art.
